About Collaborative Design
and Facilitation
Real change rarely fails for lack of good ideas; far more often it fails in the room itself, in the moment when a group of people who do not yet fully trust one another are asked to think, decide, and commit together.
During this three-day training you will deepen your knowledge and skills about how to create a collaborative client relationship, design collaborative events and experiences at any scale, and how to develop the awareness and presence to hold the room.
At the core is the MGTaylor methodology, which was created to drive systemic change across groups ranging in size from a few people to several thousands. You will learn directly from facilitators who have worked with these methods for more than two decades with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the Global Maritime Forum.

Architect a single day for a few people, a three-day gathering for several hundred, or a long-term collaborative journey toward systems change, using space, sequence, and materials as instruments
Learning by Practising
This is a collaborative experience. You will be asked to bring a real collaborative design and facilitation challenge — whether that is a session you need to design, a longer engagement you need to architect, or your own level of comfort with being in front of the room.
Over the three days you will start to explore how to develop your design challenge into a workable design along supporting facilitation skills.

Hilde Rydning

Hilde Rydning is a Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) accredited by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF), a partner at Matter Group, a Co-active personal coach and a long-time practitioner of the Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) method, and co-founder of the Global Commons alliance.
For more than two decades she has built a considerable track record on designing and delivering collaborative multi-stakeholder processes for some of the most demanding businesses and organisations in the world. Her clients include the Global Maritime Forum, the World Economic Forum, UNICEF, and the Global Commons Alliance, for which the work has been recognized with the Platinum Facilitation Impact Award - the highest tier conferred by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF).
Svenja Rüger
President of the Association of Value Webs
Svenja Rüger is the President of the Association of Value Web´s, the global community that is grounded in the MGTaylor methodology and stewards the craft of collaborative design and facilitation, making high-quality decision-making the universal norm for navigating a complex world.
Svenja is also a partner at Matter Group and a certified Integral Facilitator and has worked intensively with the Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) method.
For more than two decades she has designed and facilitated high-stakes collaboration for the World Economic Forum (WEF), Red Cross, UN Agencies and for a wide range of international institutions, foundations and the private sector.

Jayce Lee is a social artist, scribe, and visual facilitator based in Taiwan. She is an active contributor within The Value Web community, a core team member of the Presencing Institute, and co-founder of HEREWEGO CREATIVE CO., LTD. With more than 25 years of experience across design, marketing, creative practice, and international collaboration, Jayce has played a key role in cultivating visual practice and social arts initiatives in the Asia Pacific region.
Working through deep listening, generative scribing, and the Theory U framework, Jayce supports groups in sensing the dynamics of complex systems, surfacing quiet voices and emerging possibilities. Her work transforms unfolding conversations into visual meaning, helping people see, understand, and move with what is wanting to emerge.

Crystal Huang studied awareness-based systems change—Social Presencing Theater (SPT) under the guidance of Arawana Hayashi and Manish Srivastava. SPT leverages the body's inherent awareness to perceive the current state and potential futures of collective systems, facilitating deep collective dialogue. She is committed to promoting social art and Theory U in Taiwan to inspire collective awareness of ecological and social relationships, leading to transformative change. Additionally, she is a Warm Data Lab Host, Coach and a Foresight Strategy Facilitator. She translated the book "From the Front of the Room" , "The Art of Making a True Movement: Social Presencing Theater" and proofread and published "Generative Scribing: A Social Art of the 21st" " Presencing" , and "Small Arcs of Larger Circle".
Riyo Harata

Bilingual (JP/EN) visual facilitator and education-sector project manager.
A graduate of the International Youth Initiative Program (YIP, 18th cohort), she returned from Sweden and is now based in Japan, designing cross-border experiences and dialogue spaces and engaging in social arts.
